You're looking at the actual foot and shoe of the famous Percheron stallion, Laet; preserved as an artifact after his death. Laet is one of the most important foundation sires of the breed, and his Get took the show ring by storm throughout the 1920's and 30's. Laet was presented by Dave Haxton, one of the premier groomsmen of his day, for Watson Butler at Woodside Farm.
