The PHAoA Education and Charitable Fund (E & C Fund) has recently learned of the passing
of former Executive Secretary/Treasurer, Alex T. Christian of the Percheron Horse
Association. His tenure as the daily guiding force in the registry association was from 1981
until his retirement in 2010. His capacity to carry out the visions of the association board
was immense in the late 80’s as he undertook helping with the creation of the E & C Fund
as a separate 501C-3 organization. He was named Secretary/Treasurer of this new venture.
During Sec. Christian’s tenure, acreage was purchased where the large office building and
grounds were situated just off Rt 95 north of Fredericktown, Ohio. Supporting youth
hostels, state clinics, college scholarships and building a new barn were all a part of the
accomplishments of his dedication to the E & C Fund.

The family of Mr. Christian is honored that a memorial scholarship will be established in his
name for a college bound youth through the PHAoA Education and Charitable Fund. All
donations made are fully tax deductible through this 501c-3 organization.
